Under general supervision of the Director, performs a variety of professional, technical, and analytical human resources work in classification, compensation, talent acquisition, onboarding, compliance, process improvement and other administrative/special programs; leads and trains subordinate staff; advises managers on sensitive human resource matters and performs other related duties as required.

This is the entry to journey level in the Human Resources series. Incumbents perform the full scope of professional human resources services under general supervision with a general degree in independence and discretion. This classification is distinguished from the next higher-level classification of Senior Human Resources Analyst, in that the latter classification works with a higher degree of independence and discretion, performs more complex technical analyses and studies and supervises the work of staff.
