Job Posting at Finley Child Development Center

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Finley Child Development Center. This is a flexible position meaning it does not guarantee any hours but comes with the eligibility of working up to 40 hours per week and it does not include benefits. Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments, and cold menu items on a serving line.
  • Removing dishes and trays from tables.
  • Operating, breaking down, and cleaning all electrical equipment for food preparation.
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment (e.g., worktables, sinks, and refrigerators).
  • Separating food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware in the dishwashing area.
  • Loading and operating dishwashers, storing clean dishes, glasses, and silverware.
  • Washing tables and counters, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets.
  • Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors, cleaning windows, washing walls, and cleaning and sanitizing trash cans.
  • Sorting, washing, peeling, and cutting fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 08/27/2025.
  • Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference.
  • Ability to read and understand written material and be able to follow simple oral instructions.
  • Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines.
  • Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds, and occasionally over 20 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, and bend for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
  • Successful completion of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.

Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

Foreign Education:

Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
