Facilities Engineer
The Facilities Engineer will serve as a key technical resource supporting the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical manufacturing infrastructure. This role requires hands-on expertise in industrial systems. The ideal candidate will bring an engineering background and practical experience in manufacturing environments, driving facility reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide engineering oversight for facility operations, including process ventilation systems, heat treat equipment, bluing operations, wastewater systems, and infrastructure utilities.
- Lead and support projects involving process optimization, equipment upgrades, facility expansions, and environmental systems improvements.
- Ensure facility systems and operations comply with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of critical infrastructure, identify and document deficiencies, and coordinate corrective action plans.
- Apply Lean principles such as root cause analysis, value stream mapping, Kaizen to facilities operations and project execution.
- Provide engineering design, troubleshooting, and implementation support across a broad range of systems, including HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, and water/wastewater treatment systems.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and preventive maintenance plans for equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for procurement, project planning, and contractor oversight.
- Support installation and commissioning of new production equipment.
