Pima County Department of Transportation is seeking a self-driven, skilled, and licensed engineer to join our Traffic Safety and Analytics team. Responsibilities for this position include leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of traffic safety improvements including our Speed Management Program; conducting and overseeing traffic studies; analyzing data and developing recommendations for safety improvements; performing field inspections to assess traffic conditions and ensure adherence to traffic safety regulations; preparing and presenting technical reports, proposals, and documentation for traffic safety initiatives. In addition, the position will help develop, monitor, and evaluate innovative approaches to enhance roadway safety and transportation network efficiency.
