The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC), a department of Banner University Medical Center Tucson, is hiring a Transplant Director to lead our Hematopoietic Cell Therapy and Transplant Program (HCTT). The HCTT Program at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, was established in 1988 and remains the only dedicated cellular therapy and transplant program in southern Arizona for adults and pediatrics. The HCTT program has been FACT accredited since 2000 and adheres to the highest standards across every aspect of cellular therapy, including clinical care, donor management, as well as cell collection, processing, storage, and administration. UACC is a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. At the UACC, the HCTT program provides cellular therapy research and clinical trials that deliver personalized treatments tailored to individual risks and care objectives, all through a patient-centered approach.

This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the designated service line/division. This position provides leadership and direction in the pursuit of producing targeted results and ensuring that the care provided is of the highest clinical and service quality and provided in a financially responsible manner.
Requires a level of business and clinical knowledge as normally obtained through the completion of a Master's Degree in business administration, health services administration or related field. May require current clinical and/or administrator licensure in state of practice based on regulatory requirements and clinical scope. Knowledge of healthcare management as typically obtained through five years of progressive experience in healthcare operations. Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare trends and financial management of healthcare operations. Knowledge of the requirements of the various regulatory and accrediting agencies as applicable. Requires strong written and oral communication skills. Must demonstrate strong decision-making, critical thinking and group facilitation skills along with the ability to lead change and to rapidly prioritize needs. Ability to develop strong relationships with suppliers and customers. Analytical and critical thinking skills are required to integrate and interpret data from diverse sources. Ability to integrate information to establish business priorities, decisions and budgets. Must be highly computer literate. Employees working for Banner Home Care AZ must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
BSN highly preferred for Home Care service line. Familiarity with Transplant Service needs highly preferred for Transplant service line. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
