Contact Center Customer Service Representative

Location: Tempe, AZ

Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Type: Temp-to-Hire (Great performers earn a permanent position)

Job Summary: Are you passionate about helping others and looking to start a long-term career? We are hiring Customer Service Representatives to join our Contact Center team. In this role, you will handle incoming calls from customers regarding shipment tracking, imports, and basic research tasks.

What You'll Do:

  • Handle incoming calls from customers, providing assistance with shipment tracking and other inquiries.
  • Update customers and follow up on requests.
  • Manage high call volume, averaging around 60 calls per day with an average handle time of 3-5 minutes.
  • Use multiple computer systems, screens, and applications to resolve customer issues.

Must-Haves:

  • Ability to type 30-45 WPM (typing test required).
  • Strong computer skills, including navigating between applications and dual screens.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, video conferencing, and online phone systems.
  • Effective email management and good queue, file, and folder management.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity to protect data.
  • Ability to research information quickly using online resources.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills; ability to handle customer complaints and delays.
  • Must pass background and drug screenings for Kelly Services and again for full conversion to permanent employee status.

Training Schedule:

  • Training Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, classroom style for 3 weeks, followed by floor support (total of 4 weeks).
  • Perfect attendance is required during training; no tardiness or missed days.
  • After training, shifts will be available from 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts).
