Application Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Engineer to join our growing team. This role is entirely floor-based, focusing on troubleshooting equipment, solving complex mechanical and electrical issues, and integrating systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. You will be directly engaged with equipment and cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Integrate and optimize systems for enhanced performance.
• Work directly on the manufacturing floor with equipment and cross-functional teams.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Utilize hands-on skills with hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
• Engage in continuous improvement processes in manufacturing.
• Ensure the reliability and optimal performance of industrial machinery.

Essential Skills:

• Mechanical engineering expertise.
• Electromechanics and electrical engineering skills.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
• Equipment integration knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Preferred AA degree is not required.
• Ability to read an electrical schematic or drawing.
• 3+ years of on-the-job troubleshooting experience.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Familiarity with VFDs, motors, gearboxes, servo motors/drives.

Work Environment:

You will work on the manufacturing floor 100% of the time, with shifts from Friday to Sunday, 4 AM to 4 PM. The industrial environment requires wearing boots, pants, and personal protective equipment such as hard hats and glasses. The work can be physically demanding, especially in summer heat. The company is growing, aiming to double in size by 2026, and offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including a 10% annual bonus for all employees regardless of job grade.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $89000.00/yr.
