Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer

A manufacturing company has an opportunity available for an Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer who will design, implement, develop and/or coordinate the development of manufacturing processes which meet all customer specifications, on-time and within budget. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize experience and knowledge of taking customer models and drawings and converting them into shop drawings and tools to be used for CNC laser, machining, forming, welding and other manufacturing operations
• Utilize manufacturing operations knowledge and apply to creating and revising item cards, bill of materials, and routings in a manufacturing ERP system
• Act as a vital resource for technical questions related to manufacturing and quality processes
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow and cell layout requirements
• Identify and proactively address technical and resource issues and risks ensuring project milestones are met
• Utilize the knowledge management network to develop the best practical solution and offer feedback
• Serve, when required, as the manufacturing team leader on cross-functional projects
• Develop methods and systems enabling robust quality in manufacturing processes
• Prepare formal drawings of tooling, jigs and fixtures depicting component parts, machine tools, dimensions and assuring manufacturability
• Assist the Tool Room in the construction and the modification of tooling, jigs and fixtures to ensure the part conforms to its design and meets the needs of Manufacturing
• Assist with troubleshooting to alleviate tooling and fixture problems
• Support corporate continuous improvement by identifying, developing and implementing cost reduction and tooling improvement concepts
