Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift
The Shift Manager will provide leadership to improve safety, product quality, process efficiency, and labor deployment within the production process. They will also drive continuous improvement and mentorship. This role will be responsible for hiring decisions, and a range of other workforce management activities. The shift is Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 2:30am.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee the shift operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people improvements through Lean Manufacturing.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Support and drive Continuous Improvement efforts through leading projects.
- Meet daily with cross functional teams to ensure activities on the floor for build are in line with plan. All issues that impact need to be escalated and clearly understood at all levels of the organization.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree required OR 5+ years of manufacturing experience required.
- 5+ years progressive and relevant management and supervision experience in Operations is required.
- Spanish language proficiency, preferred.
- Training in Lean manufacturing required.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
- Exceptional communication, organization, and leadership skills. Ability to manage complex projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to find solutions and deal proactively with work-related problems.
- Ability to evaluate hours per unit impact
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- This position plans, staffs, evaluates, and directs work of employees of a work unit.
Working Conditions:
- The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
