Manager/Employee says: The Account Manager plays a pivotal role within the reinsurance back-office operations, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, including cedents, brokers, and reinsurers for processing and back-office purposes. This role is responsible for the day-to-day servicing and administration of reinsurance contracts, ensuring accurate processing, timely delivery of information, and exceptional client experience. Working closely with internal operational teams and under the guidance of the Head of Client Services, the Account Manager ensures that client expectations are met with precision and professionalism. The individual will support the preplacement and manage the post placement servicing of risks, client queries, coordinate data and documentation flow, and support the resolution of operational issues, contributing to overall service excellence and client satisfaction.

What you will do:

Client Relationship and Account Management

Serve as the contact point for clients on operational and account processing matters, ensuring prompt issue resolution and clear communication.

Support and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and brokers in conjunction with the KAS initiatives.

Support management for client reviews, service level discussions, and performance reporting.

Operational Excellence

Manage the end-to-end servicing of client accounts, including binder, treaty and facultative administration, risk processing, bordereaux processing and account reconciliation.

Coordinate with junior/senior brokers to take over management of systems input of quotes and client offerings, and smooth handover within the client servicing team for EOC, slip, and endorsement preparation

Support brokers to ensure a handover process of onboarding trading partners for KYC purposes from placement to fulfilment

Load risk and provide QA and audit services for the production of client debit notes and reinsurer closings/treaty statements.

Assist the placement teams in the preparation of new and renewal submissions and attend necessary internal and external RFP meetings to provide first class service to clients

Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline back-office processes and enhance client experience.

Support and prepare monthly/quarterly account summaries for processing.

Strategic Contribution

Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and market personnel.

Communicate with client and market accounts teams regarding bordereaux, settlements, and queries

Continue to assist in the development of Operation Manuals giving continuous support on new operational ideas

Co-operate with Operations working with external third-party providers to drive efficiency in processing of accounts

Provide necessary recommendations and enhancements on contract wordings in conjunction with market standards for back-office processing

Risk & Compliance

Ensure compliance with Continuous Professional Development training

Support internal audit processes with peer reviews and quality assurance monitoring

Drive the integration of technological innovations aligned with evolving market standards and best practices
