Data Engineer Associate - Databricks | Paris (H/F)

Databricks Team Member

Within Ardian's IT team, one of the global leaders in the private equity market, the role will cover the following areas:

• Databricks

  • Migration of workspaces Hive Metastore to Unity Catalog.
  • Development of ETL python / pyspark / SQL
  • Setting up connections to third parties via Delta Sharing
  • Maintenance of the Databricks platform within the DataPlatform team

• Communication

  • Being the point of contact for the Data Science team.
  • Guidance on best practices.
  • Documentation of the databricks space

We are looking for a technical profile with excellent communication and dissemination skills. Fluency in English is essential, as our contacts are distributed between Paris, London, and New York.

The technical environment is as follows:

• Azure Databricks (Serverless workspaces)
• Snowflake
• Microsoft Azure (Private Cloud)
• GitHub
• Python & SQL

Profile:

• Master's degree in engineering school or university education, with a specialization in information systems
• Fluent in English
• 2-5 years of professional experience in similar roles

Required Skills:

Hard skills:

• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
• Databricks administration
• Advanced knowledge of database systems.
• Experience in designing and optimizing data pipelines, as well as data modeling.
• Knowledge of the financial domain would be an asset.

Soft skills:

• Rigorous, you know how to work independently.
• You have a good relationship, are open-minded, and dynamic.
