Key Responsibilities
In this challenging yet rewarding role, you are an integral part of what brings our Company's mission to life. You must have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in and/or with:
- VMware Horizon, vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
- Hands on experience with hyperconverged systems, particularly Cisco HyperFlex, to support the VDI environment.
- Hands on experience with server environments including Windows (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP) and Linux (CentOS and Ubuntu).
- Teradici technology and PCoIP protocol optimization.
Highly Desired Qualifications
Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:
- Collaborating with cybersecurity teams, Sponsor or otherwise.
- Engaging in continuous improvement related to identifying opportunities for enhancing network and endpoint security measures and implement innovative solutions to improve overall security posture
- Providing training and support
- Participating in audits and compliance reviews, as it relates to systems engineering.
- Certifications: VCP-DCV, VCAP/VCIX, MCSA/MCSE, or TOGAF
Other desired experiences:
- Designing, deploying, and optimizing a VMware Horizon-based VDI environment using vSphere and Cisco HyperFlex, including Android emulation, golden image management, and GPU virtualization, to ensure a secure, scalable, and high-performance virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Architecting and maintaining a scalable, secure VMware Horizon-based VDI platform.
- Managing and optimizing Cisco HyperFlex hyperconverged infrastructure, including compute, storage, and network stack, to support the VDI environment.
- Designing, optimizing, and managing golden images (Windows 11 and Linux).
- Creating and maintaining standardized images for virtual desktops, ensuring they are optimized for performance and security.
- Implementing GPU virtualization to enhance the performance of Android emulators used within the VDI environment.
- Implementing automation workflows for desktop deployment and updates.
- Developing and deploying automation scripts and workflows to streamline the provisioning and updating of virtual desktops.
