Retail Associate, Part-Time

This person will be responsible for a variety of essential duties to ensure a successful operation within the Golf Shop. Primarily responsible for providing an excellent guest experience and maintaining a good visual appearance of the Golf Shop. Works under the direct supervision of the Retail Manager.
Essential Duties/Functions:
- Assists with the day-to-day execution of the Retail Sales Operation.
- Ability to provide superior customer service and help promote the mission of Grayhawk Golf Club through assisting all guest with their buying needs promptly, courteously, and professionally.
- Supports the Golf Shop's appearance by maintaining a good visual standard through folding, steaming, and dusting.
- Monitors and facilitates replenishment of sold product.
- Assists with displaying new merchandise.
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of store products and services in order to effectively conduct sales.
- Enters sales in the "Point of Sale" system and receives payment for merchandise.
- Assists with preparing the Golf Shop for physical inventories.
- Performs other duties required or assigned.
Experience Required:
- Knowledge of golf and the golf market preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Requires the ability to communicate clearly with management, co-workers, and customers; requires ability to receive instruction from manager and to meet the needs of the customer.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Requires alertness and attention to detail.
- Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions:
- Indoors, air-conditioned Golf Shop.
- Hours: Dependent on business levels, normally 12-18 hours per week while working 2-3 days a week. Includes holidays and weekends.
- Requires standing for periods up to (4) hours to assist customers and to maintain Golf Shop's appearance.
- Requires climbing and balancing to use ladders to restock and store merchandise; requires lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. of merchandise.
- Equipment use: Computer with "Point of Sale" system, ladder, steamer, tagging gun, vacuum.
