Account Manager
Manage assigned customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to meeting company goals.
Salary Range: $80,000-90,000 + Annual Bonus
Sign on Bonus: $5,000

Responsibilities
- Perform essential elements of contract review process and coordinate with others to ensure pricing is acceptable and requirements and lead times can be met
- Communicate pricing and lead time quotations based on manufacturing cost estimates and other business factors
- Work with customers on acknowledgements when clarifications or corrections are necessary
- Follow up on outstanding quotes to customers and report status of pending projects
- Act as liaison with other departments in the organization to ensure customer satisfaction and coordinate activities with other functions (e.g., purchasing, production, engineering, and shipping).
- Collaborate with planning to meet customer Kanban demand
- Gather, compile and analyze data related to customers activity and recommend actions the organization should take to meet customer needs
- Responsible to prepare and distribute weekly customer activity updates to management and monthly sales forecasts for assigned customers
- Work with estimating to maintain a sales opportunity pipeline and update Salesforce.com
- Handle customer requests for order status, change order requests, cancellations, expediting
- Communicate any issues impacting performance to customer contracts and work with other departments to resolve any concerns with customers
- Responsible for timely response to customer complaints and working to achieve satisfactory resolution with the assistance of the Quality team
- Monitor customers' web portals for new orders, changes and other information for accounts assigned
- Participate in regular production meetings
- Coordinate trade show participation and logistics
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- BA degree in engineering or related technical field
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in customer service/support role interacting with customers
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills including oral and written communication
- Analytic skills to be able to research, collect and report data
- Proficiency in MS Office suite with above average competency in Excel
- Knowledge of ERP system's functionality (Epicor a plus)
- Ability to adapt to new technology
- Ability to use technology to increase productivity
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and is solution oriented
- Project a professional image and represent the company well inside and outside the company
- Must be able to manage time, projects, stress, people and conflicts
- Ability to build rapport and trust with customers primarily by phone and email
- Possess the flexibility necessary to multi-task in a demanding, fast paced technical environment
- Maintain a process of continuous improvement in all practices and procedures
- Uses effective listening/questioning techniques – listens to coworkers and customers intently and asks questions to achieve clear understanding
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, continuous mental and visual attention is needed. The ability to walk, stand, sit, talk and hear is frequently required. The ability to operate a computer is required. Lifting up to 20 pounds is occasionally required. Work is typically performed in an office environment, where ambient temperatures, lighting and typical office equipment are found. Regular exposure to manufacturing areas where temperature may vary and personal protective equipment is required. Some travel required to customers and trade shows.
