Engineer, Mold Development

This position is expected to do mold development to ensure the mold quality, cost and lead time to be delivered according to project requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow working process to do mold development based on the project requirements.
Manage DFM review and Mold design review with internal team and vendors.
Follow up the mold/inserts manufacturing within desired cost and schedule.
Track Mold trial progress, define molding parameters with molding engineer
Analysis of mold issues, providing solutions for complex problems with mold vendors.
Technical support for Design Engineer, PM and Sales.
Prepare mold specifications/ECN for new molds.
Mold related information archiving and transfer to production.
Support operation team on existing mold optimization projects if needed.
Support training for production.
Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or above, major in mold technology or mechanical engineering related field.
At least 5+ years’ mold design or mold development experience in injection mold.
At least 8+ years working experience in the injection mold (PP/PE) industry.
Rich experience in mold technology and troubleshooting; ability to identify mold machining process, quality control and molding process availability.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Be familiar with MS office and CAD software.
Good knowledge of multiple cavity and precision mold.
Good knowledge of insulin pen mold is priority.
