Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to work in Belle Chase, LA. This position demands a committed hardworking candidate responsible for the health and safety of a company’s employees and the environment. They create and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Pay Rate: $75,000 - $100,000

Schedule and Hours: Full Time Monday through Friday. Occasional Weekends if Needed.

Senior Project Engineer Duties and Responsibilities

• Support all phases of project implementation, including planning, scheduling, procurement, and offshore execution.
• Coordinate technical engineering activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
• Provide offshore support for installation, field testing, and on-site coordination, serving as a liaison between engineering and field crews.
• Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and design specifications in compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Conduct and review engineering calculations, schematics, and design analyses to support subsea equipment and hardware development.
• Assist in vendor selection, equipment specification, and QA/QC testing such as FATs and SITs.
• Generate field reports, track project deliverables, and recommend technical solutions to address challenges.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering leadership on deliverables, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to special projects, bid preparation, and proposal development as needed.

Senior Project Engineer Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
• 3–5 years of experience in project engineering, planning, or technical project support
• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Access
• Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems and engineering document control
• Experience with reading and interpreting technical schematics and blueprints
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in both office and offshore environments
• Prior experience in marine, oil & gas, or subsea installation projects preferred
• Understanding of engineering processes, standards, and compliance requirements

Work Environment:

The Senior Project Engineer will split time between an office setting and offshore/on-site project environments, with an estimated 50% of time spent offshore. This position requires manual dexterity, physical stamina, and the ability to work in varying environmental conditions including hot, cold, dusty, and noisy areas. Duties may include climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and extended periods of standing or kneeling.
