Automation Personnel Services is seeking a proactive and motivated Sales Representative with signage experience for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL. In this role, you will be responsible for growing our general sales accounts. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with customers on behalf of the company while actively prospecting for new accounts and working to maximize sales with existing customers. Qualified candidates will represent the company by conveying expertise in our services and capabilities and establishing relationships with customers and vendors.

Pay is based on experience.

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Sales Representative Duties and Responsibilities

• Prospecting for new customers, developing new business, targeting key prospects and retaining accounts.

• Cold calling, lead management, scheduling sales appointments and follow-ups.

• Present and discuss the products and services of the company in a way that conveys an image of quality, integrity and superior understanding and fulfillment of customer needs.

• Understand and comply with the sales system/program in place.

• Communicate effectively with management, and the marketing and production teams, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that sales and customer objectives are met.

• Participate as a key team player by supporting operations as needed.

• Increase existing market penetration and identify new avenues of growth.

• Must be able to travel locally and nationally as required. Most trips are day trips and not overnight.

• Attend trade shows to demonstrate products and services.

• Work week consists of 45-60 hours depending on quantity of projects.

Sales Representative Qualifications and Requirements:

• Sign knowledge and background in signage industry.

• Signage sales experience preferred.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.

• Strong sales aptitude.

• Ability to identify and meet customer needs and requirements.

• Must have initiative and be able to problem solve.

• Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.

Job Type: Full-time, temporary to hire.
