Job Description

IDIADA's fast growing e-powertrain team has developed and tested numerous components, systems and vehicles in the past years. The market and competitor environment is changing quickly and requires technical curiosity and fast learning capabilities.

More than 60 engineers and technicians are currently working within our e-powertrain team on charging interfaces, battery systems, electric motor tests and general electric powertrain and vehicle development topics.

A challenging position for our e-motor laboratory is waiting for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Validation testing of electric motors and electric axles for battery electric vehicles
  • Programming of test sequences, configuration of DAQ and test automation systems
  • Preparation and execution of endurance and environmental tests of electric motors
  • Analysis of deviced under test and equipment failures, software flashing
  • Reporting of results internally and externally in English
  • Definition of emotor validation procedures on component and system level
  • Understand test configuration and instrumentation and apply the test procedures.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering degree will be needed.
  • Master's degree in automation field or related will be an asset.

Profile:

  • Interest in automotive topics, especially in electric vehicles
  • Knowledge of Automation tools: AVL Puma, NI PATools or NI Labview
  • Knowledge in electric motors and power electronics.
  • Good understanding in control theory, adjustment of PID control
  • Analytic and repair skills (problem solver mentality), technical curiosity
  • Knowledge of CAN communication and control tools: VECTOR and INCA

Languages:

  • Written and oral fluency in English and Spanish.
  • German or any other language will be appreciated.
