Electrical Integration Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Integration Engineer to work directly with our team on the design, build, validation, and improvement of our vehicle fleet. Through your daily interactions with all aspects of the self-driving system, you will own electrical integration across all of our verticals - mining, cars, trucking, and defense. You will work directly with our software engineers, hardware engineers, engineering technicians, operators and safety drivers.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Own the design and implementation of electrical systems on our vehicle platforms - from power to network
  • Own electrical architecture and drive standardization across the Applied fleet (architecture, component selection, harnessing, etc)
  • Be the subject matter expert for Applied's autonomous vehicles by building a deep familiarity with all aspects of the system
  • Provide vehicle integration support across the organization by designing, prototyping, and installing proof-of-concept systems and sensors under evaluation
  • Design and build test benches to validate electrical and embedded systems
  • Develop and own documentation as it relates to electrical integration
  • Troubleshoot the vehicles systems, computer components and sensors performing root cause analysis
  • Work to minimize vehicle downtime while focusing on safety
  • Able to work independently on high level dynamically evolving challenges

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor of Science in electrical or related field
  • 3+ years technical experience in electrical, computer, automotive or the robotics industry
  • Experience with harness design and implementation
  • Experience working with AV Components Lidars, Radars, Camera etc
  • Previous experience with low volume manufacturing in automotive or robotics industry
  • Proven ability to read and understand electrical schematics, datasheets
  • Experience with documenting and maintaining detailed assembly procedures
  • Experience using shop equipment, 3D printers, automotive diagnostic tools

Nice to have:

  • Carrier board / PCB design experience
  • RF / EMC / EMI testing experience
  • Familiarity with ROS and Linux OS

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
