WiFi/Bluetooth Connectivity Software Performance Engineer

Join the Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems organization and join an outstanding team of engineers driving innovation on products used by millions worldwide. Our group is looking for a highly motivated Performance Engineer to optimize software design for Apple's latest products, including the next generation of Apple Watch, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, and Mac etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• You have a strong understanding in one of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thread, or related protocols
• You have a background or research experience in RF, Digital, and Wireless communications
• You have experience working with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers to debug and root cause issues
• You're experienced with Python for testing, data analysis, and visualization
• You have knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite
• You have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• You're experienced with power, performance trade-off analysis
• MS or PhD
• You approach problems flexibly, adjusting strategies as needed for practical solutions
• You're focused on priorities and drive efforts toward achieving results
• You're experienced working across various layers of Wireless System Architecture
• You stay curious, and continually seek to learn and improve processes

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
