In this role, you will bring your expertise to refine system architectures and implementations, driving product improvements. You will contribute to a team that shapes the Platform Architecture of a wide variety of products, ensuring that power, performance, and thermal controls fully utilize the capabilities of the silicon and software stack to achieve the best user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring Power, Performance, and Thermal Control Architectures are effective.
• Realizing the intent of the architectures in products used by customers.
• Driving improvements in architectures across multiple product generations.
• Developing and executing architectural verification and validation plans to identify issues early in the development cycle.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to specify, architect, and develop telemetry for debugging.
• Creating automation scripts for testing, data collection, and analysis.
• Setting up hardware environments and operating test equipment for system integration testing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with at least one of the following: Python, JavaScript, Databases, C/C++.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in system integration or related fields.
• Experience deploying automation infrastructure.
• Experience with low-level firmware development.
• Familiarity with UNIX-like operating systems.
• Experience in telemetry and performance monitoring tools.
• Problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $126,800 and $190,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
