This role will join as a core member of a global team of studio broadcast engineers supporting the infrastructure, workflows, and facilities underpinning world-class live experiences for Apple Services.

You'll work with a combination of traditional and cutting-edge broadcast technologies to power the reliable delivery of live content at the highest standards of quality. The position involves close collaboration with production, operations, and engineering partners to maintain operational excellence across all broadcast systems. You will operate mission-critical systems to support high-profile live broadcasts. The position requires making quick technical decisions, often working under pressure, implementing innovative solutions to complex broadcast challenges, and taking ownership of systems that directly impact Apple's content delivery. This role demands independent decision-making and the ability to drive complex productions from concept through deployment. The role requires flexible working hours, sometimes working evenings, weekends and/or overnight to support event production and broadcast.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate critical broadcast infrastructure across a high profile facility.
• Provide first line technical support of broadcast systems to technical operators and production teams.
• Set up, support, and operate a wide range of production equipment, including cameras, robotics, teleprompters, production switchers, intercom, lighting, audio mixers, musical performance equipment (stage monitor rigs etc).
• Liaise with post production teams to oversee transfer of media assets to Apple defined specifications.
• Proactively monitor performance and condition of all facility resources, reporting any issues.
• Track and resolve technical issues using internal documentation and reporting systems.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external system engineers to maintain reliable technical infrastructure and arrange repairs as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Broadcast Engineer, Junior Broadcast Guarantee, Studio Engineer or equivalent.
• Experience working in a modern & high-demand live production environment with the highest technical standards.
• Operational expertise with a wide range of video production systems including system cameras, vision mixers, multi-viewers, and media routing systems.
• Operational expertise with a wide range of audio systems including large format production audio consoles, intercom, audio routing infrastructure, and RF systems.
• Excellent communicator, able to distil technical details in appropriate ways to a range of recipients.
• Familiarity working within an A-list artist-facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient configuring and troubleshooting broadcast control systems and automation platforms.
• Experience with IP-based broadcast networks and software-defined networking architectures
• Knowledge of replay systems, graphics engines, and video processors.
• Proficient working with broadcast standards and formats such as SMPTE 2110, Dante, SRT & baseband formats.
• Knowledge of lighting principles and technical standards for studio and stage.
• Familiarity with post production workflows, NLE's, DAW's, and other production software suites.
• Familiarity with live event audio workflows, including live sound reinforcement.
• A deep familiarity with the Apple ecosystem of services and hardware.
