The Engineering Project Manager (EPM) role in the Strategic EPM team owns system level products (products included but not limited to iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Audio, Accessories) in the following areas: (i) Post-ramp qualifications, and new technology bring up on current platforms (ii) New manufacturing site qualifications (iii) Drive NPI activities during product development phase At Apple, we believe our products begin with our people. This hands-on EPM role will focus on driving and aligning cross-functional engineering resources to help formulate, follow and execute company's priority with respect to the above areas. This position will work with cross-functional team DRIs and China OEM/CM team to resolve engineering issues seen from new qualifications, mass production, and field returns. This role will identify, evaluate, and drive various activities while clearly communicating the risks, priorities and schedules to cross-functional and management team. In addition to the above areas, this role may also involve partnering with NPI EPM team in next generation product development. Given the speed and scope of programs at Apple, this EPM role must respond quickly and clearly regarding changes to the overall goals, schedule, and/or architecture. The EPM must be a fearless person capable of working with highly skilled cross-functional engineering teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus and execute mitigations quickly and efficiently. This job requires an in-depth understanding of development and manufacturing process and is required to have an engineering degree and experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,306 and $213,700 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
