Sr. Product Operations Manager - Commerce

Join the Product Operations team to lead complex cross-functional projects to operationalize new product features across all existing and new platforms. We are seeking an experienced product operations manager to drive features and operations that help expand the marketplace platforms business. Apple's foundational technologies help developers build, grow, and scale apps and app marketplaces — including programming languages and development tools that make it easy to build apps for Apple's ecosystem, specialized software development kits with over 250,000 APIs, beta testing services and feedback programs, distribution via marketplaces and web, and so much more.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product, Business, Design, Legal, PR, Engineering etc. to drive alignment across cross-functional business teams, implement new business operations and lead product delivery through seamless feature launches.
  • Define and build products and operations to develop and launch Apple's app ecosystem product features, across existing and new platforms.
  • Partner with product, engineering and design teams to translate product vision into requirements and features, and lead execution efforts including GTM operations.
  • Lead definition and implementation of new processes and operations needed to support product features; Partner with key decision makers across business teams to define short and long term solutions to any operational challenges.
  • Lead development of business/ functional requirements and work closely with engineering teams, to build and deploy tools and systems to support new product features.
  • Ensure cross-functional business partners are aligned on the key objectives of the product feature and its roll-out.
  • Develop new processes in support of launching and sustaining new product features and work with business teams to develop resources and information required to support new products (training, playbooks, process documentation, resolution paths, FAQs, etc).
  • Plan and drive global pilots and product launches, in partnership with cross-functional business teams, product management and engineering.
  • Work with business teams to track product impact, and feature enhancements for future development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in business operations or product management, including experience working in Digital Marketplaces/ E-Commerce/ Payments & Subscriptions.
  • Experience in developing use cases and business requirements, leading activities to operationalize and launch new digital products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in management consulting or at a high-growth technology firm.
  • Experience working on a global scale across different levels of the organization and managing the implementation of complex projects.
  • Experience with full product lifecycles including planning, prioritization and development, and leading go-to-market operations for new products.
  • Experience working with executive and senior level stakeholders.
  • Experience contributing to discussions about technology and strategy related to a product.
  • Ability to define and develop technology solutions working with internal and external engineering teams.
  • Ability to synthesize large amount of information and data to create a clear story digestible to different types of audience - business, engineering, executives etc.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate project risks effectively.
  • Excellent business sense, project management skills, relationship management skills, and the ability to understand and resolve complex business issues.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Have an enthusiastic outlook to problem solving and willingness to adapt in a highly demanding, collaborative and fast-paced environment with rapidly changing direction and new challenges.
  • Knowledge of iOS, macOS and App Store.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience; Advanced degree a plus.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,500 and $260,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
