Apple's Employee Experience and Productivity group is looking for a Functional Engineer in Austin, Texas to lead Revenue and Reconciliation projects.
The Corporate Systems group at Apple focuses on creative ways to engineer business solutions to meet the growing needs of Apple Finance, iTunes, App Store, Sales, Retail, Apple Care, and Apple Online. Our portfolio comprises engineered custom solutions to process very high-volume micro-transactions from iTunes and App Store Downloads, iPhone Activations, Sales from Retail/Online, Resellers, etc. These solutions are based on cutting-edge enterprise technologies ranging from Server Side Java, Web Technologies, Cocoa, iOS, Oracle, and No-SQL Databases. Accurately processing such high-volume transactions is our core strength. We seek a self-starter with strong analytical and leadership capabilities. You will interact with many other group's internal teams to lead and deliver outstanding solutions in an exciting fast-paced environment.
5+ years of experience developing and integrating software in a professional capacity.
3 years experience on the full software development lifecycle: analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
Proficiency in data handling and debugging with a proven focus on implementing reusable, and maintainable solutions.
B.S. in Computer Science or job related work experience.
Must be able to brainstorm and communicate technology ideas and issues with peers and IT management.
Strong communication skills and ability to propose design, seek feedback, and iterate with business.
Good understanding of technologies like Java, Linux, Database Querying, and scripting.
Hands-on implementation or integration experience.
Experience with tooling languages (e.g. Python etc.) and integrations with internal and external systems.
