Senior Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact engineering organization responsible for building internal platforms and tooling that support teams across the company. This is a leadership role that requires someone who can build and scale engineering teams, drive cross-functional alignment, and communicate effectively with senior leadership.

You will lead a cross-functional engineering organization responsible for building and operating tools and platforms that serve internal customers across the business. Your goal is to ensure teams across the company have what they need to operate efficiently and effectively, while meeting broader organizational goals around quality, reliability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering organization focused on delivering internal tooling and platforms that serve business units across the company
• Define and drive the roadmap for your organization in close collaboration with engineering, finance, and business stakeholders
• Build solutions that help internal customers understand their usage, plan for future needs, and identify opportunities for greater efficiency
• Partner with finance and business teams to support cost visibility, accountability, and operational planning
• Lead data engineering efforts that produce reliable metrics, reporting, and insights used across the organization
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the products and services your team delivers, from intake and planning through delivery, monitoring, and deprecation
• Define and operate governance frameworks, including regular reviews, SLA commitments, and escalation paths
• Represent your organization's posture, risks, and investment needs at senior leadership reviews, communicating clearly and concisely to executives

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead complex engineering domains end-to-end within a large-scale engineering organization
• Experience leading software development teams building internal tooling or platforms, including managing internal stakeholders
• 8+ years of experience managing engineering teams, including managing managers and leading organizations of 15+ people
• Experience managing or influencing company-wide processes
• Strong track record of building alignment across multiple cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, infrastructure, and business leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience directing company-wide processes and representing them to senior executives
• Strong communication skills, with experience presenting complex technical and business information to executive audiences
• Ability to balance the needs of diverse internal customers with broader organizational efficiency goals

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $262,500 and $393,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
