The Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for a Senior AI Applications Engineer to help us push the limits on the next generation of interactive computing for our platform. This team is working with some of Apple's most advanced technologies including augmented reality (AR), machine learning (ML) and computer vision (CV). As a senior member of our organization you will drive exploration of future products that will delight, inspire and empower millions of people. Apple makes the newest technologies accessible to create amazing user experiences. You will have the opportunity to develop prototypes at the bleeding edge of technology to find the best experiences for our products. We work closely with Apple's Human Interface design team to define the next generation of computing. The ideal candidate for this role is comfortable working in a dynamic and creative environment. You are expected to work quickly and smartly to help determine the viability of ideas and technologies. You will work closely with artists, designers and engineers to define and prove new application concepts and UX paradigms, and solve incredibly challenging and interesting technical problems.
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Swift and/or Objective-C for iOS applications.
• Experience using Apple development tools and APIs
• Passionate about great user experiences.
• Swift is the primary programming language on day to day basis.
• Good intuition in making time vs. complexity tradeoffs.
• Knowledge and/or experience with LLM's and Computer Vision.
• Experience building efficient systems software.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
