This is a terrific position for an engineer passionate in solving challenging performance problems and working on cutting edge technologies

Description

Make a difference in Apple's operating systems by collaborating with software teams across the stack. This position will require analyzing performance of various user experience focussed workloads and engaging with engineering teams to gain a deep understanding of problem domains. Evangelize best practices and pursue improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Review performance metric trends
  • Investigate logs/traces to Identify bottlenecks and potential focus areas
  • Work with engineering teams to come up with solutions
  • Prototype fixes in various codebases showcasing performance improvements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in app (UIKit/SwiftUI), framework, or systems engineering
  • Proficiency in Obj-C, C++, or Swift
  • Excellent communication skills and eagerness to work cross-functionally with teams across the company

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing and using Performance tracing, profiling, logging tools will be a plus

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
