Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Define overall optical and module architecture and requirements and drive rigorous validation plan to meet the display performance target. Identify critical metrics impacting display performance, analyze experimental and build data, and present analysis summary to management. Drive issue failure analysis and corrective actions, communicate with the broader team on pros, cons, and risks associated with any proposed solutions, and drive implementation of the solutions. Collaborate with a cross-functional team, drive display module design convergence, and deliver the display product. Investigate new display technologies, perform detailed tradeoff studies, and generate new approaches to further enhance display performance. International Travel Required 20%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Physics, Optics or related field.
  • Experience and/or education must include:
  • Experience in display hardware development, validation, and research.
  • Experience in display technologies, including TFT, LED, OLED, optical fundamentals, and display systems.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and with overseas suppliers.
  • Experience working in optical components (lens, film, and film coating), image processing and machine learning.
  • Experience in human vision system and color science research.
  • Experience in LED, Transistor (MOSFET and TFT), and LCD failure analysis utilizing IVL, SEM, microscope and oscilloscope equipment.
