Product Operations Test Engineering team is a passionate, highly skilled, hard-working group of engineers from a diverse set of backgrounds, covering all aspects of inspection and test equipment development, prototyping, modeling, and simulation. Our mission is to optimize Apple production test lines in terms of productivity, automation, performance, and overall cost-effectiveness, by introducing new concepts for inspection and test equipment and methods, production test line architecture, etc. We are seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join us, specializing in acoustic and structural simulation. Leading new initiatives in optimizing test solutions for consumer electronic products. Working with cross-functional teams to provide design insights and reduce empirical design iteration. The successful candidate should have experience with acoustic analysis techniques, be self-motivated, and able to drive cross-org communication and collaboration.
In this highly impactful role, you will use your technical knowledge and analysis experience to analyze and implement optimal acoustic test solutions. Duties include: Performing acoustic and structural mechanical analysis to optimize test fixtures against performance targets. Working closely with internal and external international teams to ensure learning is implemented correctly in test solutions deployed in the field. Developing acoustic modeling standards and processes to allow efficient analysis of new and existing test solutions. Balancing test station performance with cost, efficiency, and scalability goals. Aligning the team and leaders on these intricate trade-offs. Presenting weekly program status updates to internal teams and executives, as required.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
