Materials Engineering Program Manager, NAND Systems

Apple's NAND group is a growing, high energy, results-oriented team that has an exciting opportunity for a Materials Engineering Program Manager (MEPM). Join our innovative NAND team as a Materials Engineering Program Manager and take ownership of the technical and logistical backbone of next-generation product development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage NAND samples planning, procurement, and delivery for NPI, OPS, and component validation
  • Apply technical knowledge to interpret system team requirements and translate into material readiness plans
  • Use data analysis and forecasting tools to model sample demand vs. supply and optimize allocation
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand validation schedules and ensure material availability
  • Engage with external NAND vendors to review sample specifications, quality requirements, and delivery plans
  • Build dashboards, reports, and metrics to provide visibility into sample health and risk areas
  • Proactively identify technical risks (compatibility, spec mismatches, qualification timing) and drive resolution
  • Leverage understanding of semiconductor lifecycle and component characteristics to inform planning decisions

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Systems/Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • Experience managing supply and demand processes
  • Experience working with external vendors

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Understanding of semiconductor supply chain challenges (lead times, vendor qualification, yield impacts)
  • Exposure to NPI (New Product Introduction) sample planning or program management
  • Familiarity with vendor engagement and negotiation in a technology or semiconductor environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to create data-driven dashboards for tracking material readiness
  • Experience bridging engineering requirements and supply chain execution in a high-tech environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
