We partner with OS engineers to design, build and integrate new anti-malware technology into the OS to stay ahead of attackers!
Reverse engineer malware samples with static + dynamic tools. Create new tools for analyzing malware and detecting anomalies. Build and interface with services for automatically detecting and responding to malware. Design or improve platform security features and ship them in macOS & iOS.
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Vision for improving our operating systems to block techniques used by malware. Experience with reverse engineering or debugging tricky problems across levels of the software stack. Strong programming skills, both in a systems language such as C and a scripting language like Python. Motivated by results and able to work independently as well as mentor others. Strong communication skills, particularly written.
Deep knowledge of low-level software implementation and/or binary analysis on Apple's operating systems or comparable systems. Swift experience.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,100 and $244,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
