Apple's Cellular Software team is seeking talented, highly motivated and disciplined engineers to work across layers on groundbreaking cellular technologies. The position involves identifying and/or developing core cellular technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless product lines. We are passionate about keeping our users connected 24/7 wherever they go. Responsibilities

• AI/ML-related responsibilities
• Collect, clean, and preprocess datasets from modem logs
• Model Development, Evaluation, Simulation & Experimentation
• Develop a proof-of-concept ML solution that can be applied to cellular applications
• Build a prototype anomaly detection system for real-time modem
• Review and propose innovative updates to cellular data plane standards

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing BS/MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch
• Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of protocols such as TCP/UDP/IP/QUIC
• Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills
• Obsessively passionate and inquisitive with a focus on solving everyday problems in innovative ways
