The Graphics, Gaming & Machine Learning team is looking for an Engineering Program Manager to help shape our next generation products. You'll be responsible to lead planning, execution and communication between several engineering groups at Apple, and helping define/run processes that ensure GPU & Display deliverables for these products are met. Apple's GGML (Graphics, Gaming and Machine Learning) group provides the graphics software foundation across all of Apple's innovative products, from iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, to Apple TV, iTunes, Vision and Mac. Join our cross-functional team, where the innovative intersection of GPU & AI/ML technology drives breakthrough products and features. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Metal API, GPU, display, and compute features, including virtualization & compiler/driver integration and be able to participate in:
5–10+ years of program management experience in software, hardware, or systems engineering environments. Familiarity with graphics driver stacks, shader compilers, and GPU architecture. Strong technical acumen and the ability to align teams around architecture, milestones, and execution plans. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
BS/MS (EE/CS/CE), or a related technical field. Strong technical background, capable of working closely with engineering teams to manage software/hardware integration, performance, and scalability. Exposure to 3D graphics APIs (Metal, Vulkan, OpenGL, or DirectX), is considered a strong asset for driving alignment across technical teams. Familiarity with GPU architectures and their application in AI/ML workloads, particularly model training and inference and applying them in partnership with engineering teams. Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of managing complex cross-team projects and delivering successful results. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and evolving requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Passion for building world-class user experiences through advanced graphics and compute technologies.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
