The Apple Service Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Program Manager to drive critical data privacy and compliance initiatives across Apple's diverse business lines.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Program Roadmap and Strategy: Collaborate with legal and engineering partners to define and execute a roadmap for scalable compliance infrastructure and tools. Empower Apple's development teams to efficiently ingest, store, process, transform, and analyze data while staying compliant with international data laws. Lead cross-functional discussions with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and establish a strategic program roadmap that aligns with our vision.
  • Program Ownership: Partner closely with internal engineers and organization-wide stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities for improving our data privacy and compliance posture. Define, establish, and continuously improve program and organizational frameworks, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and robust reporting.
  • Champion Product Adoption: Serve as a key advocate for data privacy and compliance, leading efforts to promote platform and tool adoption across the organization. Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and align stakeholders on the value of the compliance platform.
  • Foster Cross-Functional Relationships: Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal team members and across Apple. Facilitate seamless communication between divisions and foster a unified approach to achieving program goals.
  • Project Management: Execute on deliverables with resilience, creativity, and a strong sense of ownership. Lead with compassion and strive to identify and remove obstacles to progress.

Minimum Qualifications

  • +5 years of experience in data compliance and/or continuous compliance and/or data governance
  • +10 years of experience in software development industry and/or big data
  • Excellent understanding of data laws and concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and build consensus
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication and reporting skills
  • Excellent presentation-making and presentation skills.
  • Experience in software development life cycle methodologies, and strategically managing large-scale programs

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $163,300 and $290,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
