Machine Learning and AI

Apple is where individual imaginations gather together, committing to the values that lead to great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other's ideas stronger. That happens because each of us shares a belief that we can create something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. It's the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. Here, you'll do more than join something — you'll add something. The Siri team is looking for an engineering program manager (EPM) to help us build the next generation of Siri. As a member of our organization, you will lead teams crafting future products that will delight, inspire, and empower millions of people to leverage the power of AI.

Description

In this role, you will drive cross-functional programs and feature areas in Siri across Apple products. You will partner with engineering teams to lead projects through the software development lifecycle from concept to delivery. You should bring solid experience in system software, machine learning, and project management, strong communication and leadership skills, and a track record of driving and delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously. You should demonstrate high integrity and feel comfortable in a dynamic environment. As an experienced project leader for various complex and at times highly ambiguous technical projects, you will need to build strong collaborative relationships within the organization, as well as cross-functionally, and confidently and calmly manage any conflicts and challenges along the way. You will be responsible for successful outcomes and delivery with laser focus on execution, with a keen eye for important details, and communicating status and risks clearly. If you relish challenge, are passionate about building and delivering phenomenal software products, and are eager to work with a great team in an exciting new technology space, then we want to hear from you - please apply!

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management in software development, machine learning, or related industry experience
  • Prior experience and consistent track record leading and shipping multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Experience driving and delivering critical project features that involve integration with multiple different teams
  • Solid knowledge of software development practices
  • Curiosity and passion for new technologies, and proven ability to quickly understand technical concepts
  • Ability to create and execute plans in ambiguous settings, identifying priorities and driving what matters
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent collaboration skills, working together with different teams, and fostering trust
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity or prior experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning is desired
  • Prior hands-on experience in software development, model development, or system architecture design is desired
