The Finance department based in the Cork Campus supports all functions of Apple in EMEIA, including the European Sales Fulfilment, AppleCare after-sales services, European Logistics, Manufacturing & Operations, Apple Media Products, and Apple Retail as well as being the Shared Services Centre for EMEIA. Engineering & Operations Finance partners with the Engineering, Operations, and AppleCare teams to optimize the world's most innovative supply chain and provide the best possible customer experience. Intricately connected with their business partners, our team provides analysis for insightful decision making. This exciting role sits within the EMEIA Engineering & Operations Finance team. Primarily responsible for the management of costs and controls within specified business areas, as well as driving strategic decision-making and corporate initiatives, we engage directly with key partners across Supply Chain, Engineering, AppleCare, Corporate Procurement, GBS, Technical Accounting, Tax and Compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic financial planning, maximizing access to R&D tax credits, KDB, and other grant incentive programs administered by Revenue and IDA Ireland. This is an important leadership position in the team with significant exposure in EMEIA and beyond. Act as internal subject matter expert on R&D tax credits, KDB, and other innovation-related tax regimes. Oversee the annual R&D tax credit claim process: Prepare and manage timelines, facilitate review meetings, compile financial submissions, oversee technical write ups, and partner with external service providers on support. Own the IDA RD&I grant application and drawdown process. Compile application and drawdown documents, and support business teams throughout the application. Lead the claim draw-down and audit activity. Ownership of the system of record for maintaining R&D records Stay informed on legislative changes and proactively assess implications for the organization. Evaluate additional relevant innovation based Irish tax supports, grants, and incentive schemes available. Identify and partner with new teams to assess qualifying activity. Educate stakeholders on the R&D supports available in Ireland. Present progress at Quarterly Business Reviews and Steering meetings. Model the financial impact of tax reliefs and grant funding for business planning. Partner with multiple Internal Apple stakeholder groups (Operations, Engineering, IS&T, Tax, Finance, Legal, Public Relations, Government Affairs). Liaise with external advisors, and government agencies as required.
