Description

As a DevOps Engineer in Places Technology Services, you will provide your technical expertise through hands-on development to ensure that the applications we build are set up for long-term success.

Responsibilities

You will play a crucial role in building, automating, and maintaining our infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate closely with development, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure the smooth and reliable delivery of our software products. You will contribute to improving our existing infrastructure as code, monitoring, and automation practices. Minimum Qualifications

5-7 years of experience in a DevOps or related role. Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices. Proficiency with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.). Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes). Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.). Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.). Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.) Understanding of networking and security best practices. Experience with Linux systems administration. Experience with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, RHCSA). Experience with Pulumi, Tekton, OpenTelemetry. Understanding of SDLC and Git branching strategies. Experience deploying applications built with Python, Node.js, PHP, Go, Vite, Vue.js. Experience implementing API authentication (OIDC, HMAC). Understanding of distributed systems, queues, microservice architecture, and common disaster recovery patterns (Active-Active, Active-Standby).
