Apple's Storage Algorithms team is looking for a highly motivated engineer to design qualification and reliability test strategies for storage controller algorithms and to build the automation and data tools that power them at scale. In this role, you will work at the intersection of algorithm development, device physics and software-driven data analysis and tool automations driving innovation in how we test and improve Apple storage systems across all Apple's products.
Develop and implement qualification and reliability test methodologies for advanced storage systems. Perform large-scale data analysis of storage behavior, focusing on finding anomalies and improving the overall storage product. Design and maintain automation tools, dashboards, and analysis scripts (Python, SQL, Matlab, etc.) to accelerate debug and improve reporting. Collaborate closely with cross-functional Apple teams (FW, Algorithms, System teams) Drive triage and root-cause across device, firmware, algorithms, and system domains; propose fixes and track closure to sign-off. Communicate results and recommendations to both technical and executive audiences.
