Key Responsibilities

• Run and interpret analysis reports (training provided)
• Provide data-driven insights and support content quality reviews
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with the client's team
• Review content in your native language (European French)
• Assist with quality assurance tasks as needed

Basic Requirements

• Native speaker of French (Europe)
• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Philosophy, Cognitive Science, or Foreign languages, with special focus on Phonology or Phonological Applications
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to identify linguistic ambiguity and other inaccuracies in linguistic data, as well as identify basic parts of speech, and produce reports of analyzed data.
• Able to learn and navigate proprietary company platforms and software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to a 12-month contract (includes 2-3 weeks onboarding)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with linguistic annotation
• Familiarity with json, yaml, xml or other forms of text markup
• Ability to navigate a Unix terminal and use common command line tools
• We encourage alumni of the University of Edinburgh with a relevant master's degree to apply.
• Experience with or within Appen is a plus
