✨ About The Role
- The Security Operations Engineer at Apollo.io will be responsible for improving and tracking the company's security monitoring systems
- The role involves investigating and resolving security issues, running incident processes, and identifying and resolving vulnerabilities
- Key responsibilities include developing and rolling out the Vulnerability Management Plan, incident response plan, and security orchestration and automated response capabilities
- The Security Operations Engineer will work on detecting, analyzing, and following up on discovered vulnerabilities, as well as setting up and configuring protective technologies like vulnerability scanners, IDS, SIEM, WAF, and cloud security
- The position requires a comprehensive understanding of enterprise security architecture and tools, along with technical competence in automation using languages like Python, JS, or Ruby
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced security professional with a minimum of 5-8 years in information security, particularly in security operations and incident response
- Strong technical skills in implementing security controls across various domains such as access management, encryption methods, and network security
- Proficient in using security tools like SIEM, EDR, and various security technologies
- Industry-related security certifications such as CEH, Security+, CISM, CISSP are preferred
- Familiarity with cloud environments, especially AWS and GCP, is a plus
- Ability to think analytically, manage time effectively, and coordinate security incident responses
- Excellent written and spoken English proficiency is required
