Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing comprehensive technical publications for major equipment systems and subsystems, supporting all levels of maintenance.
• Creating content such as theory of operations, flight manuals, testing and troubleshooting procedures, illustrated parts breakdowns, removal/installation instructions, and schematic diagrams.
• Identifying and resolving gaps or inconsistencies in source data by collaborating with originators.
• Providing detailed art mark-ups to support visual documentation.
• Updating publication elements based on internal/external reviews, source data revisions, and equipment modifications.
• Collecting, researching, and analyzing source data—including equipment requirements, maintenance concepts, task analyses, workflows, and design concepts—to assess impact on technical documentation.
• Validating assumptions and correcting inaccuracies in source data.
• Conducting peer reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with customer formatting standards/specifications.
• Supporting customer verification reviews and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree with 3+ years related work experience or Masters degree with 1+ years related work experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with eXtensible Markup Language (XML) and Contenta content management system
• Preferred experience with S1000D and Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) publication standards
