Sr. DevOps Architect

We're looking for an experienced and strategic DevOps Architect / SRE to design scalable infrastructure, optimize system reliability, and champion automation across our tech stack. This role bridges development and operations, empowering teams to build and release with confidence while maintaining high availability and performance standards. This effort is to rebuild their entire environment from the ground up.

Must Haves:

• GitHub
• Python or Terraform
• Kubernetes – work, basics of build out of the clusters, understanding the deployment, configuration of the clusters, container/pod management, Helm charts for deployments, services for repos into the clusters, configuring autoscaling for the cluster.
• Ansible
• Managing Enterprise Gateway for API's

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments to streamline engineering workflows. Need someone strong in automation and scripting, with Python, from the ground up.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot latency, failures, and outages
• Implement observability tools—logging, monitoring, alerting—for proactive issue detection
• Collaborate with developers to ensure efficient operations of microservices, containers, and APIs
• Define SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets while driving a culture of resilience and reliability
• Lead incident response and postmortem processes to improve recovery time and system health
• Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
• Stay up-to-date on DevOps trends and advise on tools, platforms, and best practices

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or related role
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Proficient in scripting and automation (Python, Terraform and Ansible)
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions
• Managing Enterprise Gateway for API's
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, and system design
• Familiarity with version control systems and infrastructure automation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative spirit

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Elastic Stack)
• Port IO or Backstage
