Software Engineer- Data Engineering IV

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Python Data Migration Engineer with strong expertise in data transformation, SQL-based database systems, and payments-related data domains. This individual will be responsible for leading complex data migration efforts, designing and implementing Python-based ETL/ELT solutions, and ensuring the accurate movement and transformation of large-scale datasets across platforms.

The role requires a solid understanding of user entitlements, access provisioning, and secure data handling practices, particularly within commercial or enterprise environments that support internet-facing applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data migration initiatives, including Python-based data transformation activities
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, data models, and database processes, including work within Snowflake
• Perform mapping, transformation, and validation of data using JSON structures
• Support and manage data related to payments, user entitlements, roles, and access provisioning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams while also delivering independently owned work
• Maintain data quality, accuracy, integrity, and security throughout all migration phases

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience developing Python applications in commercial, internet-facing environments
• Strong expertise in SQL and relational database systems, with working knowledge of Snowflake
• Hands-on experience parsing, transforming, and designing schemas for JSON data
• Proven experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale datasets
• Understanding of payments data models, entitlements, roles, and provisioning workflows
• Strong communication skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems
