Specialty Software Engineer 4 / ServiceNow Developer

In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Top Requirements:

1. 3–5 years of ServiceNow development experience (Service Catalog, business rules, scripting, application development)
2. Must have ServiceNow CSA and CAD certifications
3. Experience with integrations and API development (REST, JSON) and automated testing (ATF or similar)

Plusses:

1. Experience with NowAssist Agentic AI (Conversational Catalog, AI-assisted workflows)
2. Experience with ServiceNow ECPro / portal development and Catalog Builder
3. Knowledge of additional SN modules (ITSM, CMDB, Workspace, Reporting, Surveys)
4. Experience with orchestration tools (Apigee, Ansible, Amelia)
5. Strong front-end skills (JavaScript, React, Angular, HTML, CSS)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design and develop ServiceNow Service Catalog solutions, including catalog items, workflows, UI forms, and integrations
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
• Develop and configure business rules, scripts, and ServiceNow applications
• Implement user stories and ensure alignment with business requirements
• Perform unit testing and support SDLC processes including development, testing, and deployment
• Manage update sets for code promotion across environments
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on development and integration efforts
• Develop and support API integrations using REST and JSON
• Implement automated testing using ServiceNow ATF or similar tools
• Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, NowAssist) for development, testing, and troubleshooting
• Ensure AI solutions meet security, compliance, and ethical standards
