ServiceNow Developer
This hybrid role encompasses both data architecture and ServiceNow support responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting ServiceNow solutions, while also contributing to broader data architecture and integration initiatives. The individual will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable ServiceNow solutions that align with business objectives. Some training will be provided, but the role requires prior experience and is not suited for a junior-level resource.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural design and oversee delivery of ServiceNow implementations aligned with organizational goals.
- Own end-to-end technical solutions including architecture, configuration, and integrations across multiple modules.
- Provide expertise in ServiceNow configuration and custom development, including: Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, ACLs, Data Policies, and UI Scripts.
- Lead development efforts across key ServiceNow areas such as: ITSM, HR, ITOM, ITAM, SecOps, IRM, CSM, Service Portal, Custom Scoped Applications, and Third-Party Integrations.
- Support ServiceNow integrations and data-related initiatives, particularly involving SSRM (if applicable).
- Conduct client or stakeholder workshops, gather technical and functional requirements, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, process flows, and architecture diagrams.
- Review team deliverables to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural consistency.
- Collaborate with business process teams during planning and validation sessions to ensure solutions meet functional needs.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues across ServiceNow and integrated systems.
- Stay current with ServiceNow platform capabilities, upgrades, and emerging technologies, and apply them to improve delivery outcomes.
- Demonstrate professionalism, clear communication, and accountability across all client and internal interactions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years experience delivering, architecting, or implementing technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- 5+ years professional consulting or enterprise implementation experience.
- 2+ years experience implementing ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules.
- Proven experience with ServiceNow integrations, data architecture, and platform scalability.
- Familiarity with SSRM or similar security and risk management frameworks is an asset.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs for scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
- Certifications (Preferred): ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD), At least 2 Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications across core ServiceNow modules. Active Government Security Clearance (if applicable).
