Dynamics 365 Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Dynamics 365 Field Service Support Engineer to join our technical support team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advanced support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service applications, troubleshooting issues, guiding users, and ensuring system reliability. You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure optimal system usage and provide best-in-class service to enhance field operations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide tier 2/3 technical support for Dynamics 365 Field Service issues, including incident resolution, system configuration, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues related to Dynamics 365 Field Service, Power Platform components (PowerApps, Power Automate), and associated Azure services.
  • Assist with system upgrades, patches, testing, and deployments, ensuring smooth, reliable delivery with minimal business disruption.
  • Work closely with field technicians, service managers, and business stakeholders to understand support needs and deliver solutions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain system uptime, monitor performance, and recommend enhancements for process optimization.
  • Escalate complex issues to Microsoft or development teams as needed and follow through to resolution.
  • Assist in system upgrades, patches, testing, and deployments.
  • Document technical solutions, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Support integration with third-party systems and tools used alongside Dynamics 365 Field Service (e.g., IoT sensors, mobile apps, scheduling tools).
  • Conduct user training and provide guidance on new features or best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience supporting Dynamics 365 Field Service or Microsoft Business Applications.
  • Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 Field Service capabilities, including work orders, resource scheduling, service tasks, mobile solutions, and inventory management.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to Dynamics 365 customizations, plugins, workflows, and integrations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MB-240: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service Functional Consultant).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Logic Apps and Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dataverse, APIs, and custom connectors.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing or consulting environment.
