Salesforce Health Cloud Architect
We are seeking a Salesforce Health Cloud Architect with expertise in payer-side healthcare. This role involves leading architecture and solution design for a major Salesforce Health Cloud implementation. The ideal candidate will provide technical blueprints, integration strategies, and implementation-ready documentation to support a large-scale transformation initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and solution design for a Salesforce Health Cloud implementation from the payer side.
- Design and architect real-time and batch integrations with core administrative systems, including Health Edge (HealthRules, Source) and EDI transactions.
- Develop technical blueprints, C4 models, and implementation-ready documentation.
- Define Health Cloud data models for members, dependents, and benefits, and design eligibility workflows.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Admin and Development teams within an Agile framework.
- Support migration planning for a large-scale cutover and provide post-go-live support.
- Bridge communication gaps between IT and business stakeholders in the absence of a formal Product Owner.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Salesforce Health Cloud architecture, specifically on the payer side for health plans.
- Proven background in solution design and integration architecture, including member lifecycle management and care management.
- Experience working for an insurance payer is required.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in designing integrations with core administrative systems like Health Edge and EDI transactions.
- Experience with C4 modeling for architecture visualization.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
Soft Skills
- Effective communication skills to work constructively with business and technical teams.
- Ability to explain technical constraints to non-technical partners.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale data migrations or "big bang" system cutovers.
- Ability to operate effectively in environments without a formal Product Owner.
- Salesforce certifications are strongly preferred.
Work Environment
This is a senior-level, fully remote contract position with an expected duration of 18 months. The role will be part of a major transformation initiative, working alongside understaffed architecture, admin, and development teams. The candidate must be able to lead architecture and design independently and may be asked to travel for the go-live weekend.
