Position: Rubrik Backup Engineer

Bill Rate/Salary Conversion: $115/hour

Location: Charlotte, NC

4x/week onsite

Contract Length: 12-18 months, possible conversion

Day to Day Responsibilities/Project specifics: This team is seeking a Rubrik backup expert to evaluate the backup platform as built by a third-party vendor. The team has been engaged in the assessment and implementation of the platform for about the last 6 months, but the goal is a full buildout and scalability. This platform has been built in phases and the functionality of aspects that were addressed early in the creation have not been tested to ensure their continued performance. Goals of this role are to evaluate, enhance and optimize the backup/recovery functions of the Rubrik platform. In addition to the discovery work and completing necessary enhancements, reporting for monitoring and alert capabilities will be a priority, so ability to work with a Splunk engineer to indicate important metrics and functionality will be necessary. Additionally, once stable, the platform will need updates and patches, so experience with configuration is necessary. Additional duties will include security administration, training other parties and SOP documentation.
