Research And Development Engineer

Apex is looking for a Research And Development Engineer onsite in Mansfield, MA this September!

The Research and Development Engineer is responsible for establishing Design Control requirements through effective documentation practices. This role supports concept, design, and development efforts for both enhancements to existing products and the creation of new product designs.

Responsibilities:

• Tests developments in conjunction with Marketing and external customers.
• Supports maintenance of business projects (MOB).
• Executes DHF (Design History File) requirements, developing and testing product designs.
• Manages assigned project timelines and maintains project status updates.
• Acts as a technical liaison between Marketing and Production for the design control requirements.
• Manages all aspects of the CDP (Change Deployment Process)
• Keeps up to date with health and safety issues.

• Works under direct supervision.
• Works on projects of limited scope and complexity.
• Applies basic concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks.
• Follows established procedures to resolve identifiable technical problems.
• Develops competence by performing structured work assignments.

Required Skills:

• Report Writing

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with medical devices
• Product and process validation

Education:

• 0-2 years of experience, preferred
• Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Language: English (Speak, Read, Write)
